Our group focuses on the analysis and synthesis of hardware / software systems.

Current research activities include formal verification (i.e. mathematical proofs that systems fulfill their specification), error diagnosis (i.e. localization of errors in systems not fulfilling their specification), and synthesis of hardware / software systems.

Embedded systems form a major field of application for our work. Embedded Systems consist both of hardware components and embedded software like real time operating systems and they make high demands on safety and efficiency when they are used inside larger technical systems (like cars, aircrafts or telecommunication devices).

Our group offers lectures such as Technical Informatik, Systems, Computer Architecture, and Embedded Systems (in part alternating with the chair of computer architecture).
